Dr. William “Bill” F. Herholtz III, Au.D., CCC-A, F-AAA
William F. Herholtz III is a Doctor of Audiology and the owner and CEO of Apex Audiology. He currently cares for patients at our hearing center in Colorado Springs. His duties include patient care, staff development and training, and administration of the corporation.
After completing his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Colorado at Boulder, “Bill” joined the family practice in 1995. One year later, he put his career on hold and attended Arizona State University for two years, earning his master’s degree in audiology. Then, Bill earned his doctorate in audiology from the University of Florida and became the first Doctor of Audiology (AuD) to practice in Southern Colorado.
Dr. Herholtz is clinically certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association, a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, and an active member of the Colorado Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Dispensing Audiologists. He has been named the “Best of Hearing Aids” for the past six years in Colorado Springs, where he has practiced for the past twenty years.
Bill, his wife (Lara), and their sons (Josef, Thomas, and Samuel) all enjoy skiing, scuba diving, golfing, and mountain biking in the great outdoors of beautiful Colorado. Dr. Herholtz is a graduate of Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs, where his three children are currently pursuing their primary education.
William F. DeHaan, BC-HIS
William F. DeHaan III (Bill), is a second generation Nationally Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist. He currently cares for patients at our hearing center in Pueblo, Colorado. He has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is a graduate of Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs.
Mr. DeHaan has been running hearing clinics in Colorado for over 17 years. He concentrates on the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss and tinnitus. In addition, Mr. DeHaan specializes in dispensing the latest digital hearing instruments from a variety of the best manufacturers in the world.
As a second-generation hearing health provider with 17 years of experience, Mr. DeHaan has the expertise and compassion to bring you world-class hearing care. He takes great pride in caring for each patient as if they were family.
Mr. DeHaan has been married to his wife, Tricia, for 10 years. They have 3 kids: Rhett, Kendall, and Madison. They enjoy hiking, camping, fishing along with travel and music. They are members of First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs.
Rachael Rieskamp is the office manager and patient care-coordinator for Apex Audiology. She has been working with Dr. Herholtz for the past three years and brings a real passion to her job. Anyone who has worked with Rachael knows that she is great! Her compassion for others and her understanding of what people are going through make her a real asset to those she serves. Plus, she does her job with a zeal I haven’t seen before.
Rachael moved to Colorado in 2010 from Florida, although she grew up in Arkansas. She and her husband, Adam, and their two dogs, Bernie and Baily, enjoy hiking and fishing in the great outdoors of Colorado. They also enjoy music, and not just listening to it – Adam plays in a local band.
Florina Taylor is originally from California but moved to Colorado from Iceland in 1993 along with her children and husband who was retiring from the Air Force at the time. She began working as an office manager in 1994 with Bill and Alice Herholtz in the Canon City clinic and continued there for 23 years.
Florina is passionate about helping people with a hearing impairment to improve their life with the help of hearing devices. She is knowledgeable and skilled in the hearing health industry and provides excellent patient care.
Florina has been married to her husband, Jerry, for 43+ years. They have 3 children, 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and their dog, Sheila. They love family get-togethers along with motorcycling and ATV riding in the great outdoors of Colorado.
